FAQs: Got a little Q? Well, I got a little A!

Maybe I’ve got an answer. (If not click on the “contact me” link and let me know, I’ll do my best to get back to you)

Q. Where do you shoot?

A. Here, there and everywhere. I’m based in Baltimore, Maryland but you can find me anywhere on the east coast. I charge a small fee for traveling anywhere 20 miles outside of the city because, well, gas is darn expensive! I’ve got some amazing places that I would love to share with you, but am game for whatever you might have in mind. I can also suggest a great location if you are interested. If I’m not out and about I also have a fabulous little studio space just about 10 minutes outside of Baltimore city in Glen Burnie.

Q. Do you shoot weddings? Or other special events?

A. I sure do! Contact me for information about your wedding or special events. I offer unique pricing that works with your budget.

Q. Do you shoot LBGT weddings/ceremonies/families/events?

A. I love LOVE! And all love is beautiful.

Q. What types of sessions do you offer? What is your availability? How much? How can I book a session?

A. Click here to view the sessions I offer and to book online:  http://kco-photography.genbook.com

Q. Ok, I’m booked so what do I wear?

A. I’m a huge fan of Pinterest! They have some fantastic ideas. Get some fresh ideas for your family session here: http://pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=what+to+wear+for+family+photos . For engagement sessions, check this out: http://pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=what+to+wear+for+engagement+photos.

Q. What can I expect at my session?

A. I’m a laid back person,  so I like my sessions to be the same. A majority of us are totally awkward in front of the camera (and that’s totally cool!). I try to make you as comfortable as possible. I warn you in advance though, my jokes are totally corny.

Q. Do you bring/use props? Do you use a backdrop?

A. Occasionally, I’ll bring a little something to add some variety to your session, but I’m not a huge prop junkie. You are welcome to bring anything to personalize your session. I’ve seen everything from stuffed penguins to a really large tractor and I’m totally game. At my studio we have access to a variety of props and backdrops. Before your session, we will discuss what you want to get out of your session so that we can create images that you are going to love.

Q. Do you ever have discounts or sales?

A. I sure do! “Like” my facebook page or subscribe to my blog to keep up. Every season I offer a set of mini-sessions.

Q. How did you get into photography? How long have you been shooting?

A. Hmmm, I wish I had a really good story for how I got into photography, but I’ll be honest, I don’t. I love photography. All types of photography. And sometimes when like something a lot, you try to get into it a little more. And soon a hobby evolves into something more. So after taking a few classes at my local community college, a couple of seminars at the Washington School of Photography,  spending a couple of semesters at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, learning a few tricks under an awesome mentor, and practicing a whole lot (with a lot of messing up in there) I took a leap. I’ve been learning and growing thanks to some amazing clients for about five years.

Q. What equipment do you use?

A. On me at every session… my beloved Canon 5d Mark III, 85mm 1.2 L, and 24-70mm 2.8. L. Sometimes, I’ll bring something else to the party, but those are my go-to toys.

Q. Tell me more about you.

A. I like sunsets and long walks on the beach. No, haha. Though who doesn’t like a good sunset and long walk on the beach? I am a creative spirit and photography is an outlet for me. I love human expression and capturing it. I also enjoy having a great relationship with my clients. Taking your picture is just part of the fun. My clients are awesome, seriously.
